Al-Qaeda on the Run: Feasting on the Moveable Beast

Abu Ali said that on 1 April 2007, he and his people attacked al Qaeda in Buhriz for their crimes against Islam. He also said something that many Muslims have said to me: al Qaeda are not Muslims. (Both Sunni and Shia have said nearly the exact same words, at times on video.) Abu Ali said they fought hard against al Qaeda, and on 10 April, they asked the Americans to join the attack. It worked. Full Story »

Another great front line report from Michael Yon, with even a video interview of a local Iraqi leader in Anbar province. The "1920's Revolutionary Brigade" (cool name that) had joined up with the Americans to clean out Al Queda. If you want to know what's happening, you have to read Michael Yon. He reports from the field, talks to real people close to the action, and his reports are many time better than anything coming out of Green Zone hotel rooms.
