Public attention span is short, which is why mainstream media isn't on this topic unless something attention grabbing happens that is likely to increase eyeballs. Science isn't perfect and even in the unlikely event that the scientific interpretation of the global climate data is wrong, I'd personally prefer to err on the side of caution. Reducing carbon emissions reduces fossil fuel consumption, something that will have to happen sooner or later as the amount of available fossil fuels is limited and will run out at some point in the future. The problem, as in so many other cases, is that the people who read pieces like this one are not the ones that need convincing, but I am not sure if another prophet will be the answer...
