Well-written opinion piece about global warming in public opinion looking at the UK and the US. Mr. Preston examines the causes and possible solutions to the dwindling support for legislation and action to stop global warming.

Public attention span is short, which is why mainstream media isn't on this topic unless something attention grabbing happens that is likely to increase eyeballs. Science isn't perfect and even in the unlikely event that the scientific interpretation of the global climate data is wrong, I'd personally prefer to err on the side of caution. Reducing carbon emissions reduces fossil fuel consumption, something that will have to happen sooner or later as the amount of available fossil ... More »
