This is Wikipedias masterpiece on Syria's ancient architecture. I chose this piece because of the current mayhem inSyria vis a vis the total destruction of history. An African axiom states that there is no future without the past. What boggles my mind how the love of power could lead citizens into destroying their own heritage.
