Martha Raddatz and the Faux Objectivity of Journalists

Numerous commentators (including me) were complimentary of the performance of Martha Raddatz as the moderator of Wednesday night's vice-presidential debate. She was assertive, asked mostly substantive questions, and covered substantial ground in 90 minutes. That's all true enough, but the questions she asked reveal something significant about American journalism in general and especially its pretense of objectivity. Full Story »

Very good journalism...in capital letters. Greenwald zeros in on the shortcomings of media group think. DC power brokers have decided what the issues are and choose pundits and moderators to reenforce their positions.

during the debates more is left out than is covered. think OWS

Glenn Greenwald is a relentless critic. He is good at it. It never hurts us to have it pointed out that there is a media bubble in which certain media people live because they're located or centred in Washington, D.C., or something. They're rich. They are biased. Their news "reporting" and opinions are formed around what they have been fed in that sense of what their paymasters sya to do. I f good criticsm is good jjournalism then this is an okay articel.
