Straight forward journalism reporting about Akin’s initial statement as well as his pathetic attempts to extricate his foot from his mouth. Article also covers the incident from his opponent’s viewpoint. Good use of links and quotes. Although all politicians, Republicans and Democrats, are distancing themselves from his statement, in reality Akin's view is also the view of Ryan and Romney. Indeed, of most of the Republican party in congress. Republican outrage at Akin is more of a case of his spilling the beans about the abortion part of the game Romney and right wingers are hoping to keep secret from voters lest everyone realizes right wingers are realy out to give the country away to evangelists and rich people.
