Senate Republicans Fight to Protect Secret Donors

GOPers vote to keep dark money in the shadows by blocking the DISCLOSE Act.

On Monday evening, Senate Republicans blocked a vote on a bill that would force corporations, unions, and shadowy nonprofits such as Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS to reveal the biggest donors behind their political ads. A short article with enough information to provide those who follow politics on the Hill regularly with everything they need to know about the current status of the DISCLOSE Act. It could provide more context, but for its length it offers insight into the continued efforts by the Dems to try to counter the impact of Citizen's United with information about donors, and the Republican's continued stonewalling on this issue.

A good factual report on Repugnantcon hypocrisy regarding campaign funding disclosure. They do not want the public to know they are being massively funded by foreign and sociopathic corporations in a huge bribery bubble.
