This is my favorite article so far and I really found it helpful, but also really connected to the class .This relates to my piece and this class because even at the first Muslim event I attended, they were discussing what it means to be an American Muslim. From this class I am quickly learning that identity is important to any culture. I love some of the vocabulary the author used like " the malleable nature of Indian heritage". Read this story with attention to story structure and the author's choices in quotes, examples and use of data. What did you notice that you will apply to your own enterprise story? The story structure of this article is effective because it sets up the background information about the story and gives quotes from Warren herself. It then transitions to why her Native American ancestry is being challenged and uses quotes to explain this. I think the author does a good job of using quotes to explain and support each part of the article and I think that's something I should try to do in my enterprise piece.

In think that this was a very well put together piece. I liked that the author was talking about two things, the fact that Indians have trouble identifying themselves and tying that into a newsworthy topic of Elizabeth Warren. I thought that is flowed really well. I also like that he started the article on Warren, and ended it on her as well. I think that the last quote was amazing and left the audience wondering about how this will effect the community in the future. I really would ... More »
