This story discusses some of the effects early internet use has on child development. Since the internet is a relatively new thing, scientists have not yet been able to study (in depth ) the plausible side effects the internet may have on development and growth. By the age of 2, 90% of children have 'used' the interent. By the age of 5, 50% of children use the internet/online games on a regular basis. This article introduces a noteworthy issue: heavy media technology has drastically changed the way we operate in our daily lives. This drastic change has taken place over the past decade and a half, and thus, scientists have little knowledge in the area of the possible negative consequences of the abundance/overload of media on human health.
