I was disappointed to see that an argument such as Peiser's was not brought in until the last couple paragraphs. The bulk of the article implies the less and less people believe that climate change is occurring or that it is of any importance. What I couldn't help but think though is that in reality, so much has happened since 2000 (the year pro green taxing numbers were pulled from in the comparison) that it is of no surprise that people have shifted their priorities. It is of course of great concern that the public does not take this issue more seriously but this article does little to convince me that that it fault of skeptic rhetoric. Rather, I see the troubled economy and continued conflict in the Middle East at fault.
