As usual FactCheck sets things straight in its everlasting campaign to counter right-wing falsehoods and distortions. This falsehood using the scary jump in the price of gas, in the right wing’s their never-ending, passionate effort to “get” Obama. Buried by the right wing is the fact this jump in gas prices is global-wide. Indicating speculators–not Obama–are really the ones responsible for the latest incident of greed.

I’m not even sure there is a real crisis in petroleum. But we’ll never know the truth as long as we get our information about oil from the oil industry–which is like asking the fox how many chickens are in the hen house. My cognition is all the hype, jump in prices, and boogeyman techniques are part of the oil industry’s campaign to scare Hell out of people who will then demand oil be give carte blanche to drill wherever they want.
