The story exposes the blatant buying of influence in Pennsylvania at the altar of the gas lobby. If you'd like to see just a glimpse of the amount of money that has flooded into the campaign coffers of Governor Corbett and other state legislatures look here: (http://www.marcellus-shale.us/political-contributions.htm). I live in a place called Osceola Mills, which is undermined for miles around. Our history of mining has so polluted our local streams that nothing can live in them. Given the science which shows fracking is dangerous to local water supplies, I wonder when I'll be able to light my tap water on fire like in Dimock, Pa. I wonder about the value of my home. I wonder if the intense undermining here will make the explosive fracking procedure more prone to, say, minor earth-quakes or subsidence. Here is "Drill Baby Drill" come to MY home to roost. This is possibly the most important story to residents of Pennsylvania in a decade.
