The two basic tenets of Krugman’s opinion piece are represented by: 1) Santorum, who is against higher education because college educated people don’t go to church. Seems higher education, “undermines the faith.” Does he mean college people are too smart to believe in all that church stuff? 2) The other example is Mitt Romney: Krugman describes the disconnect between the 1% and the rest of us as “stunning”. The gate to the upward mobility path has been slammed shut and padlocked by the likes of our favorite vulture capitalist. Keep out the peasants so the gold keeps circulating among the 1% who deserve it.
