Minnesota case fits pattern in U.S. attorneys flap

A prosecutor apparently targeted for firing had supported Native American voters' rights.

it came as a surprise -- and something of a mystery -- when he turned up on a list of U.S. attorneys who had been targeted for firing.

Although informative, this has a few areas of poor evidence, sourcing, and explanation. Other parts are quite good, and it tells a good story overall.

I was sad to hear that someone who has been fighting for years to give Native Americans a chance to vote may have been fired in my home state of Minnesota. Mr. Hamburger's story was both well-written and filled with facts. However, I wish he would have had quotes from Native Americans who may not have the right IDs. I also wish he would have gotten into contact with Heffelfinger before writing his article.
