The idea of Israei/Palestinian society as mirroring South African apartheid is gaining currency. It's an ugly truth, but now even mainstream Israeli leaders, such as Defense Minister Ehud Barak, are starting to state this alternative in public. This opinion piece argues that apartheid either exists in Israel or is just around the corner, building on comments by Ehud Barak and a few other prominent Israelis. While the piece states its argument well, its weakenss is that it doesn't dismantle the opposing (and prevailing) view.

Good opinion about some of the possibilities for Israel and Palestine, but would be better if it noted increasing demands for the Right of Return, which had been diminishing, and issues related to water rights, use of taxes, etc., plus the recent deaths of 1400 residents of Gaza.

When will we stop military aid to Israel? When will we stop sending aid to Israel?
