Puts together clippings of New York Times news reports and editorials following Bush's Mission Accomplished declaration four years ago. Mitchell lets the clippings speak for themselves- he does not give his own analysis or editorial exposition.

The article takes an important look back at the coverage of the 'Mission Accomplished' speech of George Bush. It focuses on how one paper covered the story, and might have been better for a broader analysis. Nonetheless, it it great to see this backwards glance.

Great summary of which journalists were right (a lone letter to the editor writer probably wondering if he'd gone quite insane, Dexter Filkins and Ian Fisher) and who was repeating the Bush line (everyone else) on the first annual Codpiece Day four bloody years ago.
