MySpace News: Roots in NewRoo, future in advertising
Launched yesterday, MySpace News, the aggregation and news-ranking service of MySpace, came out of parent company News Corp.'s 2006 purchase of NewRoo. MySpace News is expected to increase advertising revenue by allowing for focused ad content in a more controlled environment than MySpace's user-controlled personal profiles.
