Jon Stewart says those who watch Fox News are the "most consistently misinformed media viewers"

The way Stewart phrased the comment, it’s not enough to show a sliver of evidence that Fox News’ audience is ill-informed. The evidence needs to support the view that the data shows they are "consistently" misinformed -- a term he used not once but three times. It’s simply not true that "every poll" shows that result. It's a very well-researched fact-check of a claim Stewart made that was much too black-and-white. He made it in a worked-up, emotional state at the end of the interview, and the facts do not support it.

Politifact strains credibility when they use a survey that asks simple-minded grade school questions as a measure of knowledge. Even a person greatly confused about factual relationships may by chance know who is attorney general from listening to Fox lie about what actions he has taken. And to further stretch a point, though politifact finds a survey that does support Stewart's statement, they denigrate it for requiring too sophisticated of an understanding of the news. I would rate this one of politifact's worst exercises I have seen.
