This partnership is indeed worrying. Though Doctorow did attempt to get the DNC's side of the story, alarming words like "shill" and "hate" tend to make me as a reader mentally defend even the worst scoundrels. A later post by Doctorow was more effective, as Engebretsen's advocacy for suing people for using uncrippled online music speaks for itself.
