The author makes some valid points in this short opinion piece. But his provocative tone does not encourage a civil discussion - his challenge to "blogger boys" is likely to add fuel to the fire, rather than bring parties together to find a reasonable solution to this problem. I'm guessing this piece is meant to be satirical. If so, it's doesn't work all that well. If not, it's a very poor critique of O'Reilly's blogger's code of conduct.
