This story shows good journalism because it is keeping Maryland residents up to date on what is happening with this controversial bill. It shows initiative and courage because this is such a hot-button topic and people have a wide spectrum of opinions on the bill. This article is well-written because it gives quotes from prominent people and it says what groups are doing in order to try to get the bill repealed. It also states the new guidelines that are in place so that whoever reads this article knows what has to be done in order to have the petition. Overall this is good journalism because it is unbiased although this is a very controversial issue.
