As a US citizen, it is interesting to read about the issues that other countries face in their education system. It seems that around the world, the effectiveness of traditional systems are being questioned.

Yes, because many sources were cited and a lot of research was put into this to ensure the reader was fully informed. There were also many quotes throughout the article which is important and lets the reader know the journalist did the necessary work to get the most information possible.
