Although I feel that this opinion piece is right on the money, the author stops short and fails to tie the facts into the story. This piece would be a great lead in where all the facts are laid out and tied into one neat ball.

Everyone should read Smedley Butler's book. It's a very short piece but it shows just how far back our current problems began. See the link to an online version in the links section.
