EBDI pledges more transparency

Officials of East Baltimore Development Inc. promised a City Council committee Wednesday evening that they would operate with a renewed sense of transparency and communication about the finances and progress in economic development and new home construction as part of the $1.8 billion redevelopment project on 88 acres in Middle East. I think it is a good example of good journalism. There are several voices and statistics shown that help provide a deeper look into the story. My only problem is the use of the word the middle east. Being that I am not from Baltimore I did not understand that they were talking about East Baltimore.
