If one accepts Mr. Romano's analysis that the formal education system (I somewhat agree) combined with the overwhelming "complexity' of our political system (I don't buy it) and our "lulled into security" ignorance (I somewhat agree) then he makes a good journalistc case for his premises and conclusions. The topic and its debate are familiar, not original. I find the most glaring omission that makes his efforts incomplete the total absence of what, in my opinion, has begcome the primary educational influence (albeit perhaps viewed as suchl) ..
