This is an important environmental story covered by a Miami's New Times, a free weekly published by Villiage Voice Media. The Florida Keys and Biscayne Bay are natural treasures, and perhaps this is just a local story or - for those of us who have seen Mr. Gore's film - this could be viewed as another "canary in the mine" story. Told from a human interest angle, the reporter provides a fair number of authoritative quotes, but in the end provides more questions than answers about the future of hundreds of miles of natural marine habitat.
