Obama picks gay male social secretary

On Friday, the White House announced that Jeremy Bernard, a California finance consultant for Obama's presidential campaign, has been named social secretary and special assistant to the president.

This is a great day day for equality; alas the religious right will have a field day of homophobia and great anger as they feel gays have no rights and to be in a position of power at the White House how very sad. I am proud of Obama for picking the right person and not allowing ANY bias to change his mind, this is what America should be; at least this is another big step in the right direction. Congratulations Mr. President.
