As with so many similar rantings, the story is predicated upon an incorrect fact. (While writers in this genre would claim "upon a lie" in a smilar analysis I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt.) From the disinformation in the lede graf, with its reference to a rebel leader who was not arrested, injured or apparently even near the scene of action, the piece goes downhill. The cynics among us, perhaps, would say that this piece proves that the delusional do function well enough to stay out of mental hospitals. I prefer to think that this shows we live in a great country with freedom speech, where we prove by writing such as this that even the inept and factually challenged can earn a living at their keyboard.
