Keith Olbermann exits MSNBC: 'Just too much for me'

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann surprised viewers by saying he had "been told" it was his last show, after nearly eight years, and so he was saying farewell.

"There were many occasions, particularly in the last 2 years, where all that surrounded the show — but never the show itself — was just too much for me," Olbermann said, his only explanation for his abrupt departure. Full Story »

I agree with notes from other reviewers that this short article was both superficial, unfair and poorly sourced. I just added a link to another article that does a better job on this topic: http://newstrust.net/stories/4927521/toolbar

As far as it goes, the piece is accurate. However, it seems odd that the only quote the author could provide was one that was extremely negative and highly biased. Olbermann was a straight shooter and he was courageous enough to tell it as he saw it, regardless of consequences. It is a mistake to call him a leftist merely because he was adamant about exposing the hypocrisy and pure demagoguery of those on the right who warped the truth so badly that it was unrecognizable. He is a real journalist and no one can challenge the facts that he presented.
