He's right. I watch MSNBC. They can get snarky. They can get all reality based on you. But I've never heard them advocate violence or even use words to that effect. Never.

While well written, I challenge the extremist view of this article. Even if 100% correct, there is a large swath of the American public who agree the opposing view that this crazy person has in no way been influenced by present day political vitriol. Recognizing this is an opinion piece, it might have been nice to see some quotes from those who would state the opposing opinion and address the limitations of those views instead of taking the far left position without an analysis.

This opinion piece has no journalistic merit. It is pure hatred, vile, irrational, uninformed hatred aimed at innocent people. The author is consumed by his ultra-left ideological rage (calling Obama a "mildly liberal President" marks where this author stands). He ignores the reality of endless hate speech aimed at conservatives and Republicans, such as books and plays about the assassination of George W. Bush published by Knopf and other prominent publishers. He ignores a Daily Kos blogger's statement that Giffords "is now DEAD to me!"
