With just one speech tomorrow night you will turn a multitude of young people who were the backbone of your campaign into disillusioned cynics. While I do not support escalating the War in Afghanistan anyone on the left who was paying attention during President Obama's campaign should not be surprised by the coming announcement on troop increases in Afghanistan. The President campaigned on cleaning up the Bush mess and reducing troops in Iraq and on focusing on Afghanistan as the real threat to the United States. While I wish his decision did not include sending additional troops to Afghanistan no one who voted for him, including Michael Moore, should claim surprise by his new approach to this war.
