Thoughtful and well-documented article comparing the healthcare systems of France, the Netherlands and the U.S. The author makes a reasonable case that reforming U.S. healthcare insurance towards these European models is not likely to cause the type of 'rationing' claimed by many conservatives.

Very revealing; I like how the article cites France and the Netherlands, as opposed to the more common examples of Britain or Canada.

The article looks at universal health care in two other countries where it seems to work well, compared to our current system. And, though it does not note this, both have multicultural populations. Overall, what it says is that we can do a lot better than we are here, without some of the problems raised by opponents of current reform plans.
