Independents as the bellweather of American politics, data which have a certain relevance. However, also an excellent example of the corporate media (doesn't FOX own WSJ?) in the process of burying Obama using research data for their own ends. The problem is that the depression of 2009 has not yet become critical--only 10% are unemployed, and we still buy Wii games. What is needed is for America to fall into a situation in which 35% of the population is ill housed, ill clad, ill norished. But then it ain't over.
