Independents as the bellweather of American politics, data which have a certain relevance. However, also an excellent example of the corporate media (doesn't FOX own WSJ?) in the process of burying Obama using research data for their own ends. The problem is that the depression of 2009 has not yet become critical--only 10% are unemployed, and we still buy Wii games. The article presents an overview of a recent poll. Apparently independents, whoever they are, are unhappy because Obama has had only five months to prove that he can walk on water. It also indicates that they don't see an alternative. It would have been useful to see the actual questions used, since poll results often turn on how questions are asked.
