A good, unbiased, look at a serious problem. Lede is good, but would have liked to get sources from Turkey or Syria or Iran.

Interesting twist. As a person who has a phobia about snakes, the first part gave me chills. But then the article delved into the causes of the snakes--mainly that other countries have damed up the rivers to such an extent that river level have fallen to historic lows.

An excellent example that water is no longer the exclusive ownership of individual countries. Water is becoming a global concern.

The reporting is factual, objective, in-depth and in context. Important background and historical information is adroitly weaved into the narrative. The headline and lede are mildly misleading. The story is more about a water shortage than snakes.
