The best parts of this story are superficial. Much is misleading. The bankruptcy claim, for example. The author never considers that a health care crisis might be at least part of the reason a person might not have enough money to pay the mortgage. Some state mandates are frills. I'll grant that, but high deductible plans are too often associated with putting off cost-effective preventive care until an emergency comes along. No. Purely a hatchet job. It is a FACT that Medicare administrative costs are less than the insurance companies. Of course public health care would be expensive -- health care is expensive

Single payer health care is the only logical, civilized, humane way to go if we as a people take care of one another.
