When links are included, this story gives a very thorough report of the controversy around a so-called "moderate liberal" group's statement in opposition to a true public option for health care and why progressives are furious.

Third Way's plan is not progressive or liberal or consistent with the wishes of the majority of Americans, according to the polls I've seen, and it would not take care of the problems of those without access to health care. The Blue Dog Democrats who are changing their tunes on health care, after signing on to UHCAN, should no longer be supported by true Democrats.
