This report provides incontrovertible evidence of editors at Fox News managing content with a political slant.
I enjoyed the article. The author even published the pertinent e-mails which made the article more believable and responsible. After all accoring to Bill Sammon quotes are sacrosanct.
The story is short to the point and delivers on the lede. Almost every scintilla of this report is verifiable by a simple viewing of fox news and / or the flotilla of itinerant talking right-wing heads that frequent the newsy shows. It would be hard to find a person (not employed by Fox) that would argue about the obvious bias engineered into the Fox News programming - however, this article goes about to give the reader a peek at the tactics used to deliver the Fox strategy.
Simply stated, the Fox organization crafts news in a manner that is consistent with how Rupert Murdoch views journalism; cash cow. There has always been a lot of money in telling wealthy people and organizations exactly what they want to hear. This explains the profits of Fox News.
A very well-documented story that provides the reader with more than sufficient evidence to prove that managing editors at Fox work assiduously to slant their news reporting. What is missing is context: Leftist news organizations do exactly the same thing. Anyone who works for, or associates with, leftist organizations knows exactly where the third rail is--though we probably won't be lucky enough to find a damning memo from management defining same. Any leftist reporter who approaches the third rail, even with well-qualifed comments, is summarily fired--witness NPR's firing of Juan Williams. So far I haven't seen any Fox reporters fired for refusing to toe the line.
This article shows that there is a political slant that fox news is taking to what they air and report. This shows that the media is biased in this case so that a political party is displayed in a good light more than another, republican over democrat. This just comes to show that not all of the media thats easily seen is good journalism.
