Israel papers: new era in US ties

Commentators in Israeli papers interpreted US President Barack Obama's address to the Muslim world as marking a clear shift in ties between the US and Israel, and possibly the end of a special relationship.

there's no narrative here. it's simply a gathering of israeli views from the country's papers. there are some which look to netanyahu to work toward pres. obama's goal, and fewer who appear to resist any change. in short, it is a summary of the difficulty now facing the israeli government: can it reach out to find a palestine with which to move to the balance obama's speech laid out.

the speech was balanced but this is exactly the problem…for light years we were spoilt by the lack of u.s. balance in our favor More »

Very clever way of rounding up commentary on Obama's speech from Israeli press. Great idea, hampered by the lack of any context regarding the writers who are quoted as well as the political orientation (if any) of their publications.
