No groundbreaking insights about the Mormon push against gay marriage, but this certainly shed light on how Mormons are trying to reconcile their public profile with their fight over a social issue.

I'm usually pretty unimpressed by the Post's On Faith section. But this story had some teeth to it.

It's no surprise that Mormons oppose gay marriage --they worked hard against it in California -- but this story makes it clear that the church has worked to hide its involvement. Just as important, the story shows that proponents of gay marriage are working to exploit anti-Mormon sentiment. That's useful information.
