Those of us not in the beneficiary column, the article suggests, had better start thinking of which "artisanal services" we can provide. The author points out that we are moving more towards a society of haves and have nots and with a new Republican agenda that gap is likely to increase greatly.

This short opinion piece has minimal journalistic merit. The author does not even know that the "rich" strongly favor the Democrats. It was Obama after all, not McCain, who got the congtributions from the weathiest donors and the big corporations. Much of the stimulus package went to these same wealthy people and big corporations. Huffington Post has some journalists; the author of this is not one of them!
