A good summary of the current state of global affairs. Though not entirely original, the article is very appropriate nonetheless. It certainly begs the question of "What is the downside to a multipolar world?"

This opinion piece is good journalism. It is a scathing indictment of the Obama administration's foreign and economic policies, and how they have lowered the U.S. standing in the world. The bowing to some foreign leaders and offending of others is not mentioned explicitly, but is behind the piece. The incompetence displayed by Obama--twice--in Copenhagen should however have been stated by the author. The success of George W. Bush in strengthening U.S. ties in Asia, Africa, South America, Europe, ..., also should have been mentioned as important aspects of the context.

A refreshing take on world politics that refuses to artificially place the US at the center of the picture. More interesting than informative, but still, informative enough. This would make a good intro to a long-form article that goes into greater detail about the way the world is shaping up according to this particular person.
