This was an excellent story on a topic that usually only gets passing mention in news articles. My one quibble is that it jumped between segments too quickly. A longer piece woud have been great.

Excellent overview of how the news media have covered recent protests by Pakistani women against the Taliban. This short video shows perspectives from broadcasters around the world: France, Quatar, the UK and U.S. The report provides factual evidence and context, from disturbing footage of a teenage girl being flogged by Taliban militants. The interview with the Taliban leader is an eye-opener, and the juxtaposition of all these different viewpoints helps reveal a bigger picture.

This is a difficult topic, and Global Pulse puts in a good effort in trying to deconstruct it. The oversimplified western media perspective is well-represented, but we don't get a clear sense of the dominant narrative in Pakistani news media.
