Though a story on science journalism, this is a opinion driven, vs. data driven story. However, the sources are all top reporters and editors in science journalism, and Russell manages to present the story with nuance.

my reservations about this article have to do with readership, not with the views of the sources. the article points out , accurately, that science reporting is needed now more than ever. it was interesting that news reporters at one conference were optimistiic compared to the roundtable discussion of another forum. i wish data for actual change in reader responses across the country with science-based news and new ideas for media sources, beyond the "bells and whistles", to ...
