House Republicans blow off biz leaders who want climate action

On Tuesday, a group of key Republicans hosted a summit on Capitol Hill to bash the Waxman-Markey bill as an “energy tax” that would cost average Americans $3,100 a year (though that figure has been thoroughly debunked). “This legislation represents, and is tantamount to, an economic declaration of war on the Midwest by liberals in Washington, D.C.,” said Rep. The report and video suggests science deniers trying to use an old political formula of opposing any taxes. The also seem to want to deny the reality of those businesses moving toward social responsibility who are supporting a carbon tax or cap and trade.

Yes.....Folks need to hear how politicians are acting.... Not well written....but nonetheless a necessary look into politics.
