This report brings some important perspective of the North and South Koreas' recent conflict profile. The story by David Sanger and Mark McDonald from DC & Seoul respectively is supported by real time info from Mark Landler and Thom Shanker who also from the DC and Tokyo. The story's interactive multimedia, maps and background reportings seems more valuable resources than this story.

When I first heard the news about North Korea firing artillery shells onto South Korea's Yeonpyeong Island, I was speechless. As a Korean-American living in the U.S., all I could think about were the citizens of Korea, and how shaken they must be from the fire exchange. Nonetheless, this article is nicely written. It is descriptive, informative, and all of the facts are backed up with various perspectives of political figures. Most importantly, this article is relevant and up-to-date. Any action stirred by North Korea will be a threat to South Korea. NO WAR.
