Supreme Court Justice Souter To Retire

It's no shock that NPR used anonymous sources to write this story, but I'm surprised they didn't find any scholar or expert to comment on why Souter's leaving or who his successor might be. Perhaps this comes in an update.

There was a lot of supposition in this story. The writer made assumptions about Souter's reason for retiring and about who might be chosen as a successor.
