This is an altogether fair and appropriate overview of Obama's first 100 days in office. PolitiFact doesn't overstate the significance of this brief but closely watched period. The Web site seems to have set the tone for how it intends to scrutinize Obama's promises, public statements, etc., for the rest of his term.

"I guess the headline is, ‘President Obama amazes political veterans by doing what he said he’d do,’ " said Bill Galston, a former policy ... More »

Informative overview by Pulitzer prize winner PolitiFact about their extensive research on over 500 campaign promises made by Barack Obama last year. This report summarizes their findings, based on in-depth fact-checking, and provides helpful context on this important topic, quoting credible sources such as the Brookings Institution and Stanford University.

I am impressed that Obama has so far kept 27 of those promises, with an additional 63 solidly in the works, while only six have been broken. Not bad at all, given the circumstances.

The author does a good job bringing to light some of Obama's successes and losses. While 100 days is just an arbitrary number, is does give an insight in the Presidents way of operating.

One thing the left is up in arms about, the torture investigations, Obama gets an F. Every news org. are having a field day with documents leaking out about the things that went on in the Bush Admin. Soon, more pictures are going to be released that will turn the heat up. Since Pelosi and Reid are now rumored to have known about these documents, people are beginning to think that Obama is holding back to save their asses.

I find this article very factual, balanced and fair. Moreover, I find very interesting that the story is based on a Truth-O-Meter project called PolitiFact run by the St. Petersburg Times. This project aims at fact-checking statements by members of Congress, the White House, lobbyists and interest groups (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/). This publication won the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for their coverage of the 2008 election, which provides great credibility to the story.

I liked this article because it showed how much of Obama's agenda he had accomplished, and which goals he was working toward. I like how it also mentions which of his promises he has ignored.

Yes. It states Obama has kept 27 (plus the 63 in the works) out of 500 campaign promises. And then it covered some of this major ones. Very in depth, great.

I thought this article was very informative and gave information on both sides. Although the article seemed to favor Obama, it still supplied information on what he needs to improve on. Promises were also explained in detail, what they were, and if they were kept or abandoned.
