An opinion piece that straightforwardly presents the arguments in favor of an armed citizenry. While it celebrates the right to keep and bear arms, it doesn't get into the "well-regulated militia" issues of training and discipline.

Given the selectivity with which anti-freedom pundits attack the right to bear arms (skewing the definition of "children" to include nineteen year olds, forex) without challenge from The Grey Lady, seeing an objective op-ed piece here is a breath of fresh air.

It's not surprising that the right-wing Reynolds discusses burglaries, rather than how many people are killed by guns, in the towns that have banned/required them. In places with gun bans, no one gets shot to death. In places with lots of guns, more children accidentally shoot each other, more suicidal people have an easy out, and more crazy people lash out at their community. The end.
