Big Break From Bush on ‘State Secrets’ Unlikely Under Obama

In an interview that aired Wednesday night on the CBS Evening News, Attorney General Eric Holder suggested to Katie Couric that the Obama administration is unlikely to depart dramatically from the Bush administration’s position on the use of the state secrets privilege, noting just one case out of about 20 currently under review in which the Justice Department is seriously considering changing its stance. This story sounds a lot like Holder is blowing smoke. The first thing you do when you don't want to answer a question in an interview is say "it's in review", meaning you don't have to answer the question. Transparency? well see.

The far left is already on Obama's case about investigating Bush/Cheney, and I believe the middle is not far behind.
